All of the Dermatopathologists at Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory are highly trained physicians who adhere strictly to the standard of excellence that Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory was founded on. Each member of this international group of doctors brings years of training and experience in their specialties to the laboratory.
Our physicians go above and beyond the standards of normal practice by including in their reports comments on the nature of diseases and suggestions concerning the evaluation of less familiar problems for the benefit of the referring physicians. They also make themselves available to answer any questions physicians might have about a diagnosis.
Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory Pathologists' Education and Experience

Michael S. Rabkin, M.D., Ph.D. is President and Medical Director of Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory, P.C. He received his B.S. in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.D. and Ph.D. (Physiology) from the Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Rabkin served as a Resident in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, an Instructor and Dermatopathology Fellow at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine prior to founding Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 1991.
Dr. Rabkin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and the American Board of Dermatology in Dermatopathology.
Dr. Rabkin is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi academic honor societies, a founding member of the North American Melanoma Pathology Study Group, and a Fellow of numerous professional societies. Dr. Rabkin has thirty articles and three book chapters published or in press.

Milena E. Kozovska, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Immunopathology, joined Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory as a Dermatopathologist in 2005. Dr. Kozovska received her M.D. degree with honors from the National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine and a Ph.D. diploma from the Institute of Cell Biology and Morphology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria.
Dr. Kozovska was a resident in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital in Silistra, Bulgaria and worked as a research associate and an assistant professor at the Institute of Cell Biology and Morphology and later at the State University Hospital of Neurology and Psychiatry in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Dr. Kozovska performed extensive research as a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Institute of Neuroscience in Tokyo, Japan and at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and after that a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Kozovska is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology. She is also a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and the International Society of Dermatopathology and has published multiple articles.

AiLing (Eileen) Li, MD is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Dermatopathology. Before Dr. Li joined Rabkin Dermatopathology as a Dermatopathologist in June 2008, she worked for Dianon LabCorp as a Dermatopathologist for 4 years. She received her medical degree from Beijing Medical University, People’s Republic of China, and Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Beijing Medical University, School of Public Health. Dr. Li completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency training at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She then completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Li has performed cancer research as a postdoctoral fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University Medical Center in Houston and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She was a research associate then junior faculty at Feist Weiller Cancer Center, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
Dr. Li is a fellow of the College of American Pathology and a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the College of American Pathologists. She has authored more than a dozen articles regarding cancer research and skin diseases in several journals and has published ten abstracts to date.
