The Billing Staff at Rabkin Dermatopathology

At Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory, P.C., all insurance and patient billing is completed in-house.

Our Billing Specialists are available to answer any insurance or billing questions from referring physicians and patients. Many years of combined experience in Dermatopathology coding and billing make our Billig Department staff specialists in what they do.

Within the Billing Department, claims are filed to the appropriate insurance companies and all incoming materials are processed, posted and double checked for accuracy.

If we can determine that an insurance claim was misprocessed or denied in error by the patient’s insurer, we generally follow up with the insurer before billing the patient, thereby saving the patient the time and aggravation of many insurance appeals. All patient statements and claims are carefully reviewed before being mailed.

Cherie Johnson, Senior Billing Specialist

After receiving an Associates Degree in Business Science, Cherie joined Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 1992. As the most experienced member of the Billing Department, and one of Rabkin Dermatopathology’s first employees, Cherie has grown along with Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory and continues to be a very important part of our Billing Department.

Michelle Anuszek, Billing Specialist

Michelle joined Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 2003. She was trained as a medical assistant in 1989 and since has acquired many years of knowledge and experience in the medical field. Michelle’s attention to detail and emphasis on going above and beyond on behalf of patients are among her many strengths. Within the Billing Department, Michelle takes the lead in reviewing statements, claims, and collection accounts.

Kristin Sosa, Billing Specialist

Kristin joined the Billing Department of Rabkin Dermatopathology Laboratory in 2008. Kristin has a varied background in customer service, computer skills, medical terminology, and both patient and insurance billing. Along with routine responsibilities, Kristin also assists with all collection activities, as well as the company quality assurance program which has made her an invaluable member of our Billing Department.
